Applications:
- Used as a cleaner's solvent.
- Properties of Sec-Butyl acetate is similar to n-butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate. It also can dissolves many raw materials, and can be used to replace n-butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate as a solvent for nitrocellulose, lacquer, acrylic, and polyurethane.
- Used as a quick drying agent for optical materials. Sec-butyl acetate can also be used to dissolve Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB).
- As a solvent in the synthesis of plastics.
- Used as a diluent, which is ideal for reducing costs, and decreasing amount of toxic in producing of diluents such as Tiana, banana oil, etc.
- Used in printing ink. It can be used as a volatile solvent for ink production, replacing n-butyl acetate.
- Used in the pharmaceutical industry. Sec-butyl acetate can be used in manufacturing penicillin.
